Dangbei has announced its latest product, the Neo, a compact 1080p mini projector with impressive features. This device can cast images from 37.5 to 120 inches wide with a 1.2:1 throw ratio and up to 675 ANSI lumens brightness.
Additionally, the LED light source is expected to last for up to 30,000 hours. The Neo projector covers 90% of the DCI-P3 color space, supports HDR10 and HLG formats, and features a ToF camera system that allows for quick image optimization with auto focus, auto keystone correction, and smart obstacle avoidance tools.
Running on Linux OS, the Neo projector is officially licensed by Netflix and comes pre-installed with apps like Prime Video and YouTube. However, it is important to note that you cannot download apps from the Google Play store. The device features dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, allowing for wireless content casting via the Mirrorcast app.
The projector also has several physical ports, including HDMI ARC, USB 2.0, and S/PDIF ports for connecting other devices. With two built-in 6W speakers, users can enjoy a surround sound experience with support for Dolby Audio.
Measuring 7.87 x 6.18 x 3.94 inches (~200 x 157 x 100 mm) and weighing 1.42 kg, the compact projector is easy to transport. However, it is important to note that the device requires power from an outlet.
Dangbei Neo Smart Projector Expected Price and Release Date
Currently available in black or white, the Dangbei Neo Smart Projector can be purchased in the US for US$699.99. Customers on Amazon can take advantage of a US$100 coupon, bringing the price down to US$599.99. The projector is set to launch in India on May 16, expected to retail price ₹67,822 or ₹62,490.
